There are two types of servicing for Mercedes vehicles which are commonly referred to as either an A or B service.
The A service is the smaller service and the cheaper of the two. Your Mercedes will require its first A service once it reaches a year old or covered the mileage interval depending on your vehicle’s year and model, whichever occurs first, and then is due every other service after that.
Service A includes:
- Engine oil filter replacement
- Synthetic engine oil replacement
- All fluid level checked
- Tyre inflation check
- Brake component inspection
- Suspension component inspection
- Reset service light
- Fill AdBlue tank if applicable (charged extra per litre)
The B service is the major service and is the more costly of the two, but this is because it involves a more in thorough inspection with additional checks. Your Mercedes will require its first B service once it reaches two years old or has covered the mileage interval and then be due every other service after that.
Service B includes:
- Synthetic engine oil replacement
- Engine oil filter replacement
- All fluid levels checked
- Tyre inflation check
- Remove and refit wheels
- Brake component inspection
- Suspension component inspection
- Cabin dust/combination filter replacement (where applicable)
- Replace remote batteries
- Reset service Light
- Fill AdBlue tank if applicable (charged extra per litre)
Additional service items depending on model and specification
- Brake Fluid change is due every 2 years
- Air filter replacement
- ATF oil and filter replacement
- Fuel filter replacement
- Spark plug replacement
